DAY 1 - 2: CAPE TOWN On arrival at Cape Town International airport, you will be welcomed by one of Finding Africa's representatives who will provide you with all the documents necessary for your journey. Spend the two days visiting the Mother City's famous attractions such as Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Castle of Good Hope, Bo-Kaap, the Company Garden, National South African Museum, Green Market Square, Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Two Oceans Aquarium, Cape Point, Simons Town and Robben Island. DAY 3: STELLENBOSCH & FRANSCHHOEK Spend the day in the Cape winelands discovering the rich countryside of the region. Start your tour with a visit to the town of Franschhoek, also known as the “French Corner”, gourmet capital of South Africa. Situated between magnificent valleys and wine estates, it is the ideal place to wander in the streets and take the opportunity to have a look at the numerous art galleries, art shops and antique stores, as well as some of the most well known restaurants in the country. Visit some of the many world class wine estates along the Stellenbosch Wine Route and sample their produce at informal wine tastings. DAY 4: OUDTSHOORN Continue your journey along the famous R 62 to the “Ostrich Capital” of South Africa, the town of Oudtshoorn. Visit the Safari Ostrich Farm where you will learn about these large flightless birds and their behaviour. Experience a Klein Karoo game drive in a 4x4 vehicle and view more than 23 species of antelopes such as waterbuck, bontebok, springbok, kudu and sable antelope, ending off with a unique sundowner experience, Klein Karoo style from a stunning vantage point on a koppie (hill). DAY 5: KNYSNA After your breakfast, visit the renowned Cango Caves, with its extensive system of tunnels and chambers which go on for over four kilometres. The caves contain spectacular halls and grand limestone formations as well as some rather small passages on the Adventure Tour. Knysna is a town of exquisite beauty, with landscapes marrying the ocean, mountains and valleys, which are covered in Fynbos. Knysna nestles around a lagoon and estuary and provides an ideal habitat for the cultivation of oysters. The town offers many art shops, tantalizing restaurants and a bustling Waterfront. DAY 6: PLETTENBERG BAY As you enter Plettenberg Bay you will catch breathtaking views of the beaches – a sun worshipper’s paradise. If you are lucky enough you may even pick up one of the “Pansy” shells that one can find while strolling along the beaches. During your stay in Plettenberg Bay you will be spoilt for choice as there are many activities to choose from. Visit Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, try bungee-jumping off the 216 m Bloukrans River Bridge or do a Forest Canopy Tour in the Tsitsikamma National Park. DAY 7: PORT ELIZABETH Port Elizabeth is the largest city in the Eastern Cape. Calabash Tours offers an authentic township tour providing an opportunity for a cultural exchange between overseas visitors and the local Xhosa communities enjoying their hospitality and dining in a traditional “shabeen” (township bar-restaurant). DAYS 8 & 9: ADDO & GAME LODGE Explore the Addo Elephant National Park, THE sanctuary for the Cape Elephant population. Today the Park has more than 400 elephants and you may be fortunate enough to view many of the numerous species of other animal such as lion, buffalo, antelopes and of course elephants. Spend the next two days on a private Eastern Cape Game Reserve at a luxurious game lodge, where guests can enjoy morning and sunset game drives, safari walks and many other activities. DAY 10: RETURN FLIGHT After your breakfast, depart towards Port Elizabeth airport where you will catch your connecting flight to Johannesburg or Cape Town.
