Maia’s 30 villas are located within Maia’s award-winning, lush tropical gardens, enjoying 180 degree, uninterrupted sea views offset by the warm, earthy tones of the villa’s interior design:
Each villa comprises two separate pavilions and a private, infinity-edged pool. The spacious bedroom pavilions are equipped with a privately stocked bar, flat screen TV, DVD player. A secluded, outdoor Gazebo, is fully equipped with en-suite dining facilities and a wonderfully oversized day bed. Your private butler can prepare light dishes, meals and refreshments throughout the day – this includes off menu items such as barbecues and freshly caught fish.
Facilities
The cuisine reflects various cultures, colours and flavours, using only the freshest and finest ingredients. The Tec Tec restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine with an Asian Creole accent. The sunset Pool Bar, surrounded by granite rocks, overlooks the Indian Ocean. Romantic dining options for couples, on the beach or secluded dining pavilion for two are available.
Maia’s boutique spa has been designed as a haven for relaxation, transcendental meditation and pampering for adults and children. Maia also offers a fully equipped fitness centre and swimming pool with tanning decks.
Activities
Relax with morning yoga, self-shiatsu and qi qong sessions in the spa or in the privacy of your villa Stroll along Anse Louis’ long, white, sandy beach on the tranquil bay free from the din of motorized sports. Discover the beauty of the Maia award-winning gardens as voted by the South African Landscape Institute as “The most beautiful hotel gardens in Africa 2008”. Garden tours and viewing of more than 300 species of exotic plants on 12 acres can be arranged. Guests can partake in canoeing, kayaking snorkeling, fishing or hike in the national parks and tropical forests. Customized excursions to the outer islands by private boat or helicopter can also be arranged.
