Swaziland
The Kingdom of Swaziland is the second smallest kingdom in Africa, roughly the size of Wales and is one of the last three remaining ruling monarchies left in Africa.
Swaziland offers the traveler a wide variety of landscapes, from the mountains along the Mozambican border to savannas in the east and rain forest in the northwest. Swaziland's most well-known cultural event is the annual Reed Dance. In an eight day ceremony, girls cut reeds and present them to the queen mother and perform a dance ritual. This ceremony takes place in late August or early September.
