Oudtshoorn

The ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn, is a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa in the Klein Karoo. The town is located at the start of Route 62.

Oudtshoorn is not only known for the world’s biggest bird, the 400 ostrich farms, but also for the spectacular Cango Caves, one of the worlds great natural wonders. No tour of the Garden Route is complete without a few nights stay in Oudtshoorn.
