Knysna

Knysna is located in the Western Cape Province of South Africa and is part of the famous Garden Route. Closest towns around Knysna are George and Plettenberg Bay.

The town is famous for its Oysters, and celebrates these delicious shell fish every year in July during the Knysna Oyster Festival. But be sure to book your accommodation early, as places full up very quickly. Knysna also offers many outdoor activities and attractions such as the heads, two sandstone cliffs guarding the mouth of the lagoon which connects the estuary with the sea and Knysna forest.
