Lekkerwijn, an historic Cape Dutch Homestead with magnificent gardens set in the heart of the Cape Winelands, offers a unique and memorable experience for single travellers, couples or families.
Accommodation
Lekkerwijn comprises of four rooms, two suites (one upstairs and one downstairs)and two cottages.
Camelia Suite (Downstairs): In the original master bedroom this beautifully appointed room with walk-in closet and luxurious en-suite bathroom and shower resounds with the simple luxury of polished wood and fine linen.
Peacock Suite (Upstairs): This comprises of a double bedded room and a bunk bedded room. These bedrooms share the recently renovated private bathroom between them and look across the flower garden and vineyards below towards the Drakenstein mountain range. Please note that the bathroom is not ensuite with the double room.
The Garden Room: This new accommodation is located in our grounds and is a conversion of one of the original farm buildings. It has its own private garden. The accommodation contains a king size bed and living room area with an ensuite shower room.
Old Nursery (twin beds): The former Nursery looks over the valley towards Franschhoek. Luxury can be found in the stylishly renovated en-suite bath and shower room.
York: A spacious room off the internal courtyard. Twin beds face out over a tranquil garden, the peace is broken only by the cry of Lekkerwijn bred peacocks. This room has a modern en-suite with bath and shower.
Owl Corner: The north end of the upstairs bedroom wing has a door allowing a private area consisting of a double bedded room, a second room with a small double brass bed and a small bathroom with shower.
Coach House Cottage: Is a delightful self-catering cottage and is not available for one-night stays.
Ballroom Cottage: The 2-bedroom cottage has been revised to include a bathroom, kitchen and two double bedrooms. The cottage has a private garden looking on to a persimon orchard.
Facilities
Guests staying in the main house have shared access to a small kitchen area (microwave, small stove, fridge etc ) where they can prepare light meals, snacks and children’s food. Crockery, cutlery and glasses are all provided.

Horse riding, cycling and tennis can be arranged
