Kambaku Safari Lodge

Kambaku Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which makes up the western boarder of the Kruger National Park. Unfenced, Timbavati becomes part of a vast unspoilt natural wilderness area that lies within the Greater Kruger National Park.

Kambaku (Solitary Bull elephant) is named after one of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ tuskers who roamed the Kruger Park for the greater part of the last century. These elephants were famous for their impressive tusks – having at least one tusk with the estimated weight of over 60kg.

Each chalet at Kambaku takes its name from one these great tuskers, and overlooks a private waterhole where constant wildlife activity can be observed.

The camp is also eco-friendly and relies on solar energy.

Accommodation

The eight thatched rooms at Kambaku accommodate just sixteen guests and offer a variety of options ranging from the honeymoon suite, family suites to double and twin rooms, depending on specific requirements. The variety of its accommodations makes the lodge ideal for hosting small family gatherings, intimate wedding parties, and exclusive business events.

The accommodation is exclusive, yet affordable, and designed to reflect the cool calmness in the heat of the African bush. Four poster beds with classic draped mosquito nets grace every room.

Each room is equipped with soft lighting, overhead fans and 220V power points to charge batteries and other devices.
