Indlovu River Lodge

Located in the heart of the 9.000 ha Karongwe Private Game Reserve (70km from Hoedspruit), the lodge is built on the banks of the Kuvjename River.

Accommodation and Facilities

Offering three luxury fully-equipped lodges namely “Kambaku”, “Shingwedzi” and “Shawu” each with its own pool and boma / braai facilities.

“Kambaku”

The lodge sleeps nine people in three double rooms on the ground floor (1 queen-size bed, 2 double beds), and one further double room (double bed) and a single bed on the first floor. Every room has its own theme which you will find also on the beautifully embroided linen and towels.

“Shawu”

The lodge sleeps eight people and exists of 4 buildings. The main house exists of two double en-suite bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen and a small lounge with an exchange library. Attached to the main house you will find a beautifully designed hall incorporating a bar, dining room and lounge. In the Honeymoon House, you will lie on your king-size bed and enjoy an amazing view onto the river through the massive glass front. An outdoor shower in a little enclosed garden makes your stay paradise-like. Another double en-suite annex includes a lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. A boma, gazebo on the riverbank and private swimming pool ensures an unforgettable stay. Both kitchens (in the main house and the annex) are fully equipped kitchen incl. stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, cutlery & crockery.

“Shingwedzi”

The lodge  sleeps six people. Two en-suite rooms in the main house (1 king-size bed, 1 double bed) and one further double room (king-size bed) in a secluded annex across the court yard. A timber veranda and ideal plunge pool provide idyllic vantage points to survey the river while resting mind, body and soul. A very elegant unit with an open kitchen & lounge. Every room has its own theme which you will find also on the beautifully embroided linen and towels.
