Flamingo Bay Water Lodge is situated in the pristine tidal bay of Inhambane 485km north of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. The lodge is situated on stilts in the crystal clear waters of the warm Indian Ocean. This bay is home to flocks of flamingos, tropical fish and the very rare dugong. The warm Indian Ocean offers safe bathing all year round and the endless wide open beaches offer hours of strolling pleasure.

Accommodation

Our luxury water chalets are spacious and well appointed with balcony, wide opening sliding doors and air-conditioning. The chalets and furniture are constructed from beautiful local hardwoods from Mozambique. Sunbathing swimming and snorkeling may be enjoyed directly from each chalet.

The chalets and main building are connected by wooden walkways where golf carts are available to ferry guests.

Facilities

An elegant restaurant overlooks the inviting swimming pool. Here sumptuous meals specializing in the local dishes of Mozambique including fresh prawns, fish, crab and calamari are served. All seafood is locally caught. Guests can also enjoy cocktails on the spacious pool deck while watching the sunset.

Activities

All activities are operated from Barra Lodge, which include, snorkeling, Scuba Diving, catamaran day trips, quad bike trails, kayaking, charter boat fishing, fly fishing, horse riding and scenic flights. Atransfer service is availablefor Flamingo guests wanting to participate in activities, whichcan all be booked at the Flamingo Bay reception.
