Activities
The main attraction is the White Lady, one of more than 45
000 rock paintings in the area. A 1-hour hike will take you to this Bushman
painting that is widely agreed to be at least 2 000 years old.
The Brandberg (Burning Mountain) is home to the White Lady
and is the highest mountain in Namibia(2 573m/8 441ft).
It is not only famous for the Bushman paintings but also for
its diverse geology.
Buy world famous Brandberg crystals directly from small
miners who make a living from selling these unique gems.
To fully experience the Brandberg area, set aside at least
two days on your itinerary and go on one of the tours offered.
All the information you need on places of interest you can
get from Basil Calitz, the boisterous owner/manager who is also one of the main
attractions in the area. |
